Explosive Power Looks Good on You

If someone asked you,”how can I look amazing in the shortest amount of time?” What would you say? I can tell you what I would say, stop running, start sprinting, stop jogging, and start lifting. Here are a few reasons why.

Lifting weights activates your fast twitch muscle tissue, which grows faster than slow twitch, therefore increases your metabolism overall and uses more fuel to get through a workout for time spent. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories you will burn, even while you’re sleeping.

But don’t take my word for it…

I understand, the guy on the left is probably around a 1000 years old, not a fair comparison right? The ladies of course protest saying “Parker, I do not wish to become bulky like a weight lifter.” Okay…

Weights done properly, do a body good for both male and female. Also I think personally, it’s more fun.

Try this workout once a week for 4 weeks, take a picture of yourself at the start and at the finish of the 4 weeks. Also, keep carbs low, as they will tell your body to retain water, so you will feel more bulky. If you are going to have carbs, have them DIRECTLY after your workout.

Here is a basic Tabata layout, with a single exercise.

Dumbell Squat to Press (start light)
• 4 minutes long (whole Tabata Session)
• 20 seconds of intense training
• 10 seconds of rest
• Total of 8 sessions or rounds

Most people don’t get through the whole session the first time. So work up to 4 minutes.
